Meet Sunne, our Nutrition Coach
Thank you so much for stopping by!! My name is Sunne Lucas and I am the owner at Sol Nutrition! I have two incredible kids named Gage and Preslee. This is a family business.
I'm often asked how Sol got started, so here's my vision!
I am a Registered Nurse. My career started in Geriatrics. I absolutely loved working with this population of wonderful older adults as they have so many stories, wisdom and sound advice! My favorite nursing job was working as a hospice nurse. I spent many years caring for terminally ill patients. I helped advocate for patients who were nearing the end of their life, provided end of life care and helped their families through the tough role of "caregiver". I found so much joy in teaching people how to care for their loved ones and show my patients love and compassion through the end of life.
I have always had a passion for health and wellness. I went into body building several years ago and found new strengths within my own self. I learned how to eat a macro balanced diet, the importance of adequate hydration and lifting heavy weights. I loved seeing the changes in my body and learned very quickly how a diet can affect your outcome no matter how hard you work out. "You can't out-train a crappy diet" is something my trainer used to tell me, and once that sunk in... I really dialed it in. I loved the sport, but didn't love the restrictive dieting. Especially while raising a family. I had a realization after stepping on stage, that I didn't want my kids growing up with a mother that was constantly in "prepping mode" and living a restrictive life. I formed an unhealthy relationship with food, and found myself binging on crap food because I was always telling myself "no".
I started working with a Health Coach who taught me how to balance life, family and better nutrition using products that were not only high quality, but incredibly delicious. This new found relationship with food and balance sparked a profound love for preventative care.
I was always so sad to watch my patients who were so healthy and active while growing up, dying of treatable illnesses like obesity, type 2 diabetes, malnourishment and heart disease. I decided that my mission would be to help people learn how to take care of themselves. I believe in disease prevention. I believe that most illness can be prevented by taking better care of yourself and I believe it starts in your gut. This inspired me to create Sol. My vision is to help people live a balanced lifestyle starting with better nutrition and gain confidence in being able to take care of themselves.
I am a trained Health Coach now! I use my background in Nursing to help people develop healthy habits and provide an accountability partner! I write meal plans using the same products that I sell at Sol! It is an honor for me to serve the community healthy fast food and a service that helps people learn to care for themselves!
My family and I are so pleased to have you!
Thank you again!
Fall in love with the process of being becoming a better version of yourself ❤
